A philanthropic foundation Ebunlobinrin Foundation has officially launched her Grassroot Women and Youth Empowerment Scheme (GWES) in Lagos State yesterday 9th of February 2017 after it was launched 4 years ago in Ogun State. GWES according to the President of the foundation Hon Queen Temitope Okoya is an interest free loan with the motive of ensuring women folks are self sufficient towards driving the economy positively especially during the economic recession battling with the nation.
At the program which was attended by eminent personalities across the city of Lagos at Olateju Area of Olosa Mushin, the President Queen Okoya assured members of the foundation more life touching programs

“Ebunlobinrin is on ground to constantly roll out people oriented programs that we touch people’s life positively. EBUN GWES has touched over 2000 lifes in Ogun State, Some of our beneficiaries that accompany us here today can testify, it’s not easy to administer though, due to some of our beneficiaries who instead of devoting the loans on their business divert it on other social activities which made them unable to fulfil their repayment agreements. I’m therefore imploring all of you Coordinators here been State, Local, Zone or Unit and all our Unit Leaders to be sincere in handling the Scheme. You know members under you, we don’t know, please see that repayments of any loan given to your Unit is taking serious, by that, you’ll not only sustain the Scheme in Lagos but also create a route where GWES will ply to other States, as it is done by our able Executives and Coordinators in Ogun State”. she said.

While addressing the members present, Hon. Abike Yemisi Owoyele, The Organising Secretary of the Foundation, said YEIIS will also follow GWES to Lagos State soon, she said YEIIS is a youth empowerment scheme that will be launched this month in Ogun State will empower more youths in the state like never before.

” I am confidence that YEIIS will be introduced in Lagos State too before the end of March this year” She affirmed.
